From local operator to integrated mobility group.
Company established
Incorporated as an Egyptian joint-stock company to advance passenger transport services.
Market entry
Cairo for Public Transport and Al-Heba for Public Transport established the operating platform.
International investment
Bin Omeir Holding Group, through Emirates National Group, invested in the platform and the business was rebranded as Mwasalat Misr; UITP membership followed.
Connected passenger services
Google Transit integration, Mwasalati prepaid card and 12-metre city-bus operations were introduced.
Electric mobility
The first 100% electric-bus pilot in Cairo was operated under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and AOI.
Institutional scale
The National Bank of Egypt invested; ACTA and omni-channel real-time passenger information expanded the platform.
New-city partnerships
Operations expanded in the New Administrative Capital and a housing-sector joint-venture platform was established.
